The 7 lagoons of Ausangate are surrounded by the beautiful snow-capped mountain of the same name at a height of 6384 meters above sea level. An important fact is that the snow-capped mountain can be observed from the Fortress of Sacsayhuamán in Cusco. However, being at the foot of Ausangate is another experience that you cannot miss.
Likewise, it is important to note that the Nevado Ausangate is considered the twin brother of Nevado Salkantay, thanks to its grandeur and size. On the other hand, Nevado Ausangate is considered the fifth highest mountain in Peru.
The pick up starts from 4:30 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. and we left in the direction of the town of Tinki. The tour lasts approximately 3 hours and a half minutes. From this place we will start walking towards the beautiful 7 lagoons of Ausangate.
We will have a five-hour walk visiting several lagoons, we will also be able to appreciate birds, alpacas, llamas, many vizcachas and hopefully even the Andean Condor. We will finish the day in the relaxing hot springs of Ausangate. Ideal for relaxing the muscles of the body. To end our trip we arrived in the city of Cusco at seven in the evening.
