The Humantay lagoon is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Peru. It is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Cusco. Its turquoise waters crowned by the imposing Salkantay snow cap give it a unique beauty. Since the time of the Incas, this lagoon was worshiped by the Andean people. It is the third most popular tourist attraction in Cusco, after Machu Picchu and the Rainbow Mountain.
Pickup at 4:30am. Bus ride for 2 hour to Mollepata where we'll stop for breakfast. We ride on for another hour to the begininig of the hike lo ates at 3800 meters.
We hike for around 1:30 hours to the view point of Humantay Lake located at 4:200. Free time for picture, afterwards we head back to the bus for 1:20 hours. Drive for 1 hour to the Lunch place. Then we ride for for 2:30 more hours back to Cusco. We arrive almost at 4:30 pm.
